Women's and Children's Hospital

Located in the heart of one of the fastest growing areas in the United States, Edinburg Regional Medical Center serves a culturally and economically diverse patient base.

In the replacement facility, the owner sought to use art to create a new level of sophistication, reflecting the delivery of top-notch healthcare in a streamlined and cost-efficient manner. Major works for public spaces vary in medium to capture familiar images and landmarks - bountiful fields of cotton, aloe and sugar cane, the picturesque Rio Grande River, brilliant tropical foliage and the beautiful Spanish architecture so prevalent in the area.

These images also appear in support pieces throughout the facility, offering a personal relevance to the viewer to mitigate the frightening aspects of a hospital environment.
