Northwestern Memorial Hospital Art Program Now that the construction of the 2,000,000 square foot Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago is behind them, the hospital is touting the art program an overwhelming success. More numerous articles have been written about the program, as well as coverage by U.S. and Canadian television. Health Facilities Management Magazine Publishes Healing Environments Survey by American Art Resources HFM has published a survey conducted by American Art Resources to look at trends in design and construction of therapeutic environments. Of the thirteen design components surveyed, art was the number one element used by facilities to improve the physical environment. American Art Resources Awarded Consulting Services for The George Washington University Medical Center American Art Resources has been chosen to create the art program for the new "President's Hospital," The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. The project is a 450,000 square foot replacement facility. Architectural services are being provided by HKS, Dallas, Texas, and interior design services by Design Studio, Philadelphia. (Bedside Environments That Heal) is an official project of The Tides Center, San Francisco, CA.) It is a non-profit initiative dedicated to improving the bedside and treatment environments of patients in underfunded healthcare facilities. American Art Resources Invited to be a Supply Partner for Novation Novation, the supply partner for VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), has signed a new multi-year agreement with American Art Resources for artwork and art consulting services. The contract extends to organizations that purchase through HealthCare Purchasing Partners International (HPPI); a company that markets Novation contracts to organizations that do not belong to VHA or UHC. Novation serves over 16,000 hospitals, long term care facilities, physicians' offices and other healthcare providers nationwide. American Art Resources Awarded GSA contract The federal government has awarded American Art Resources a multi-year contract to supply military and VA hospitals and clinics with art and art consulting services. As a result of the contract, the government will gain value-added services and expertise that had not been available to federal employees in the past.
