DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA

Duke Health Campus

Project Details

The Duke Health art program celebrates the natural beauty of North Carolina, drawing inspiration from the state’s diverse landscapes and rich artistic heritage. The collection features works by North Carolina artists, highlighting the colors, textures, and scenery of the Coastal Plains, Piedmont, and Appalachian Mountains.

Designed to create a calming, community-centered environment, the program connects patients, visitors, and staff to the familiar beauty of their surroundings. Each piece reflects the state’s spirit of resilience and warmth, using nature as a source of comfort and healing.

By integrating locally sourced artwork, American Art Resources helped Duke Health establish a cohesive visual identity across its expanding network. The result is an art experience that strengthens connection to place, enhances well-being, and reinforces the organization’s commitment to community and care.
