MD Anderson Zayed Building

Project Details

The Sheikh Zayed Building for Personalized Cancer Care at MD Anderson is a 12-story, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advancing cancer treatment and research at the highest level. As one of the world’s leading centers for cancer care, MD Anderson welcomes patients and families from across the country and around the globe.

The art program was created to reflect that diversity and global reach while maintaining a sense of warmth, optimism, and hope. Large-scale artworks bring energy and inspiration to public areas, while patient spaces feature calming, restorative pieces that encourage reflection and healing. Together, the collection mirrors the spirit of innovation and compassion that defines MD Anderson.

American Art Resources collaborated closely with the hospital’s leadership and design teams to create a cohesive visual experience that embodies the institution’s mission. Through art, the Zayed Building becomes more than a place of care, serving as a symbol of resilience, humanity, and the power of healing through both science and beauty.
