THE WOODLANDS, TX
MEMORIAL HERMANN WOODLANDS
Project Details
The 351,636 square foot, eight-story tower addition at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center serves as a striking new gateway to the campus, welcoming a growing and diverse community. The art program was thoughtfully curated to mirror the architecture’s sophistication while creating an atmosphere of warmth and connection. Dedicated areas throughout the tower showcase local and diverse artists, ensuring the collection reflects the community it serves.
Art is used as an integral design element throughout the hospital, guiding the visitor experience and shaping how spaces feel. In public zones, large-scale glass, ceramic, and mixed-media works create a sense of energy and arrival. Within patient areas, a softer visual language supports rest and recovery, using evidence-based design to foster comfort and calm. The result is a cohesive environment that blends beauty with purpose, where art heals, welcomes, and inspires.
At American Art Resources, collaboration is at the heart of our process. We partner closely with clients and design teams to craft meaningful art experiences that align with project goals and architectural intent. For Memorial Hermann, this approach resulted in a distinctive collection that elevates the building’s design while embodying the values of care, inclusion, and community.
