FORT WORTH, TEXAS
TCU School of Medicine
Project Details
The custom mosaic mural at the Texas Christian University School of Medicine celebrates one of the university’s most beloved landmarks, the TCU Frog Fountain. Designed for the new archway arcade space, the artwork reinterprets the iconic fountain in a contemporary, mosaic form that honors tradition while embracing innovation.
Each element of the design carries symbolic meaning. The four flutes of the fountain, representing TCU’s classes, illustrate the flow of knowledge from seniors to freshmen. The lotus motif, historically associated with education and enlightenment, was incorporated to reinforce the university’s commitment to growth and learning. Through stylized forms, layered perspectives, and refined tones, the mosaic captures movement and energy while maintaining a sense of serenity within the architectural setting.
Crafted from high-quality materials for lasting durability, the mural serves as a focal point for connection, collaboration, and inspiration. By linking the new School of Medicine back to TCU’s broader campus identity, the artwork embodies the university’s spirit of community, curiosity, and the pursuit of excellence.
